i am in a class of all male and myself being the only female and have been for the last two years. i have heard jokes about females and admit that i found some of them funny and the ones i didnt care for i brushed aside. however today was different. today one of the students asked what a shrub was and the teacher told him it was a little bush and we all had a little laugh. later in the day the teacher told him that his assignment was to draw a picture of a shrub on the board during lunch. so he did first he drew a shrub and everyone thought it was pretty funny, then he started fixing it so it would look better, while he was doin this one of the other guys say something about make it a female. so he proceeded to draw legs and breast to go to along with the shrub, then the comments started about she needs to shave and she must be eve and so on and so, i got to the point that i couldnt take it any more and i walked out of the room, so the question i ask is was it sexual harrassmen?

In your gut you feel something twist when things are not right..
Follow it..and if a teacher allows such behavior, sue the school.

That definitely constitutes sexual harrassment!
That is way over the line!!! You should tell someone. Those boys need to learn when the appropriate time and place is for that kind of joking... it's certainly not in public or at school.
And as for Alex's comment - this is sexual harrasment, anything said, implied, or displayed that is sexual in nature and makes anyone umcomfortable is considered harrassment - when they actually TOUCH you, that's ASSAULT - huge difference!

Tell your teacher your not comfortable with talk about females in the class. If he doesn't listen to you (Which he should be)you should go to the principle and tell them the teacher did nothing to stop it and you have a parent take you home. They should tell the boys when your not there and come back when you want feel like you can

Yeah because they should've known about the only female in the room. The line is crossed when overt sexual comments are directly made. Like "hey baby, wanna ****?"

I think it's borderline.
Maybe your male classmates got a bit overexcited, not even considering YOU were in that classroom as well, cuz they see you as "one of the guys"??
Mind you......I think this teacher was very close to comitting sexual harrasment by behaving in a totally wrong way towards YOU......HE should have known better and have stopped this!

Sexual harassment is basically any verbal or physical behavior or a sexual nature that bothers us and causes us to feel uncomfortable. So it sort of was sexual harassment.

Certainly. ..... and that behavior is inexcusable.
Report it to the appropriate persons. Don't tolerate it.
Joking is one thing; offending, humiliating, or hurting shouldn't be accepted.
Good luck to you, and have a great day!
God Bless!

Yes. Any uninviting or unwelcoming sexual innuendos, about you or around you, is sexual harassment.
