im 14, 6 feet and 3 inchs and 177 pounds. im not really fat but i have fat on me i would like to loose. i would really like a six pack but theres a layer of fat on my stomach stopping me from having it. I have been running 3 miles roughly every other day and doing stomach crunchs and push ups for about 2 weeks now and theres no weight loss at all. i dont know if there should be or not. i have also been trying to eat better. not freakishly but im not eatting fast food and junk. help me out if you have suggestions on work outs and food.

At 14, unfortunately, you probably just won't be able to put on muscle mass very well until you're a bit older.
That said there are a few things you should consider.
I've read many a time that it's amazingly difficult to lose weight and gain muscle mass at the same time. (For some reason they contradict). Lose the weight first, then do muscle building exercises.
Also, to build muscle you want to be doing reps of about 80% your maximum weight you can lift. 30 times...no more. one set of 10 reps (be it lifting weights, using gym machines etc.) have a rest...then another 10...then rest...then another 10. then a proper rest.
Read men's health or something. You'll find the ideas of running a lot and doing frantic push-ups aren't really what you want to be doing.

this is from a girls point of veiw let me warn you, but what worked getting off all my extra pounds i just ate VEGGITABLES,VEGGITABLES.VEGGITABLES.VEGGITABLES and water and on occasion steak and salad. i dropped the dressing and honestly went for the grease on my salad and that has way less carbs than dressings, i also had balanced meals and by that i mean a little bread (wheat), two fruits, and at least three vegitables. LET ME STRESS ON THIS,, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY VEGITABLES!!!!!!!!! it is the only thing that you are made for that you can never eat enough of. I also go to the gym daily, and it may not be so super fancy, but like even on a treadmill for like 30 minutes a day could help you get better.
ps those crunchs will work just keep working on it!!!
much love
