you might want to try this, seen it on many an RCA. There is a small coil in front of the horizontal output transistor, it usaully location# L4401 the solder connecitons to this go bad, they may look good but solder them anyway. then try the set, it should turn on now with a picture

I have a 32" Sony with the same problem. Diagnosed to be a problem with one of the boards and NOT the tube. Either way, gave me a great excuse to throw it out and buy a nice 40" LCD:)

F26012WN is the model number for the remote control.
But, it's probably cheaper to buy a new tv then repair yours.

try the yellow and white output cords that plug into the side or back. that could be it.
