To avoid wet carpets, have your Dad stop talking to the dog. Be sure that your Dad isn't giving "hard eye stares" - in fact, it would probably be best for your him to not even look at the dog for a few days. Your Dad should be the one to feed your dog - just setting the bowl down, at first, and hand feeding if possible. No sudden movements, no loud voices! Using the dog calming signals will help - pretend to yawn, blink a lot, and don't stare your dog in the eyeballs.

It sounds like your dog is scared of your dad. Have your dad spend some quality time with your dog.

I have a dog like that too!!!! We recieved our dog from some people that swore he was wonderful..... But, if he was so wonderful why were they giving him away? Sounds like your dog is scared of your dad for 1 reason or another.. I think my dog was mistreated and, just has a bad bladder so,he now stays outside !!!!!! He really does not mind though!!!

Dog is showing fear-driven submissive behavior. Has your Dad been cruel and abusive to the dog? Your Dad and the dog need to develop a relationship based on trust.

no, your dog is showing that it is submissive to your dad. that means the dog realizes that your dad is higher in rank than it. it should grow out of it. My dog did this when she was a puppy because she was so excited when I get home from work.

Hate to break it to you, but your dad is most likely abusing the dog and the dog is extremely frightened of your dad. Give your dog to the pound, he doesn't deserve cruel treatment.

Tell your dad to pee right back at im - teach the little squirt a lesson!
Seriously, my dog used to do that but she grew out of it. Yours too, I hope...
