I'm from Miami so I'd say the beach. The hotels or resort that offer packages usually offer them for small groups so it'd be ideal and cheap for you. The florida keys are actaully really nice and relaxed (been going there since I was a kid). It'd be a mellow approach. I think that'd be a good choice. Also, holding it on the beach (or resort grounds) would also prevent a long, drawn-out wedding, which would be ideal for a small group. I'm doing the beach thing... in Cancun :)

Try the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone Park. If you reserve a spot in the main ballroom there are picture windows which overlook the lake and beautiful forests. It is an old Victorian style hotel with a majestic feel, and when it is over, everyone will enjoy Yellowstone. Great place for an idyllic honeymoon too.

I would say the old standby of Las Vegas - Yes, I know its been done. When I got married there it was just the strip chapels but now the hotels have very nice chapels and you can do small and still be very nice. Plus the kids won't fuss as much because of the location. My middle son got married there last year and it was very church like, very nice and a ton of fun. Best Wishes!!

Try to pick something that is special or significant to them. Someplace they went on their first date? Something related to a hobby or something they both like? Ive seen wedding ceremonies performed at sporting events, in the tailgate parking lot at college football games, on the steps of the center monument downtown where I live, on a beach, in walmart etc.
What makes it unique is that it means something to the two people who are getting married. Even a simple ceremony in a back yard under a tree where they can go back to and sit together to share special times can be very special.

Try a bed & breakfast wedding. If i had a small group that's what i'd do. Possibly a weekend wedding at a resort or b&b would be perfect.

Try Gatlinburg TN. It is so nice there. You can do the white chapel in the snow or even a hillbilly wedding. And there is so much to do there.

A zoo! Seriously. They all have party rooms that can be done up, and usually you can choose which area of the zoo you'd like to be in.

Chicago-Charlie Trotter's
one of the best restuarants in Chicago....they might have banquets...the food is delicious, but it might be expensive..check it out because most of the people who have been there think it's the best place they have been.
