My cat was in an accident where she caught her back legs in between the wall and the entertainment center. She isn't moving her back legs. Her spine appears to be fine but her leg muscles are really tight. She is starting to breath with a rasp in her throught.
I have no money for a vet.
Is there anything I can do? Anything to ease the pain?

she is bleeding from her butt. Just a little. Doesn't seem to be in any pain at all.

vets will not take her if you can't pay. I maxed my credit card out with my last cat emergency

Okay, Okay. This will make you all feel better. I called a guy who is in my bible study. He is a vet. I just got back. He said she hurt her back, and it only hurts when he squeezes her back. She may have ripped her anal something. He will treat her for shock and see if she can come out of this. In 24-48 hours, we may have to put her down. He said he has seen many back injuries get better without surgery.
By the way the emergency vet wanted 1500 dollars just to take take the cat.

Her legs might have gotten fractured. I am so sorry, but a vet is really needed and some will take payments. Check around. I had a similar experince and pins had to be inserted and then removed later. Bones take about 6-8 weeks to heal. Pain medication is tricky with cats because they are more sensitive. 5-10mg of aspirin per pound given by mouth every 48 hours is ok. It's not much.Get baby aspirin.Apparently both acetamenophen (aka Tylenol) and Ibuprofen (aka Motrin,or Advil) can be very toxic even at low levels The muscle contraction really points to bilaterlal breaks. If this cat doesn't get the legs set in a timely fashion, there will be deformity and paralysis incapacitating the animal and will require you to put the animal down. Borrow the money, make payments, You are in a difficult situation. Sometimes, life gets in the way of our needs. Get the help this animal the help it needs and deserves. My prayers are with you. You can overcome a financial set back. Hock some jewelry, a stereo system. I'm just trying to come up with some ideas.

Oh, this is sad. Some Vets can cost a lot of money but depending on where you live - try to find one ASAP - I'm talking TONIGHT! - that #1 does not have a ancy office and #2 a lot of fancy equipment. Call some friends who live near you and get a reccommendation. Find a good homegrown, country vet. They usually don't charge what the big city vets do. Call the vet. Your cat needs to be seen.

if you dont have money for the vet than you are in big trouble! The cat may have a slipped disk or a spinal injury.. pinch one of her toes (with force) and see if she responds.. if she does not that means she cannot feel them and she is having a serious neurological issue. This can be very painful as well as fatal. Do not give her anything for pain.. aspirin could kill her.. she NEEDS a vet or she NEEDS to be put down.. your call!.... it sounds like she is dying and its really sad that you are just watching it happen. Euthanasia would be alot cheaper than treating her (if treating is even possible at this point).. at our clinic we charge 30$ to put down an animal less than 15 lbs.. it isnt fair of you to see her in this much pain and not finding someone to loan you 30 bucks to end her misery!

Get her to a vet fast!!!.......most will make arrangements for some sort of payment schedule in an emergency. It isn't that expensive to humanely have a vet put her down. Do the right thing.

Most ER vets will take your cat and euthanize it as a good samaritan thing, just to prevent the cat from suffering. Just be honest with them and tell them you have no money, and there is a thing called Care Credit. (www.carecredit.com) that a lot of ER vets take and maybe you can get a decent credit limit for that.

For God's sake take her to the nearest 24 hour emergency veterinary clinic for help NOW! She is going to die a horrible and painful death. If you don't ahve the money, wake someone up who does and DO IT NOW!
How would you like it if someone paralyzed you, smashed up your internal organs, then wasted their time on the Internet, without trying to help you? This makes me so upset, I am not going to tell you what I really think of you. But I will tell you, don't every get another animal again. You don't deserve their loyalty and love.

Your cat has probably majorly hurt itself.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE VET!
Do this ASAP as the cat could have possibly crushed bone or torn muscles or has internal bleeding or even worse!
GET PET INSURANCE.
it is the cheapest way.
