2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar. Govt buildings in Canada used to have a moratorium of 2012(The word moratorium may also be used to describe any situation where an ongoing activity is discontinued indefinitely.)
Why then have they changed the close date of several facilities to 2009? what do they know?

Let me clarify this for all the doomsdayers...December 21, 2012 is NOT the end of the world. The Mayans viewed time as circular. The planetary alignment on 12/21/12 will reach its original positioning from the beginning of their six cycle making it the end of the sixth cycle and the beginning of the seventh cycle. It's the beginning of a new era. What comes from it, whether it be before that date or of that date, depends on the planet's collective conciousness.

Eric, 2009, 2012, are a long way away, if you Have problems why don't you ask the relevant authorities. But I know that The Lord Jesus is coming back at some time in the future.
He does say that no man knows when though. so that is not the reason if that is what you have been thinking!

Wow, that is very interesting! I wonder if the Mayans' prediction of Armageddon is real, or maybe they didn't feel like going any further in the calendar.
I'm not sure about the 2009 thing; I've never heard of it. Weird though.

If anything 2012 will be a great awakening for the world. I think that'll be the year that spirituality will spread across the world for some reason. It may be the year that scientists discover concrete evidence of God's existence.

i could allow the mayans a 3 year degree of error, besides there could be other universal forces that we know about that they didn't, but it is curious
