do not underestimate the skills of a boxer they are good with there hands and have good reflexes.they can block punches and kicks.remember the 15 degree .move in and out at 15 and try not to go straight on.put your legs in action on your upper cuts lifting your body up with the punch to get max.power.tko

I don't suggest you fight in this situation. Unless you've practiced other disciplines your outcome looks grim. 3-4 weeks is not enough time to fight someone whos been doing it for 2 years. Yes, your best chance is on the ground but the beauty of boxing is utilizing your leverage to strike, which can still be done on the ground. Cro Cop is a great example of this point. ALSO, as originally being a boxer in mma (jiu-jitsu too) I can tell you this. The boxer is expecting you to take the fight to the ground so it won't be throwing him off his game. Watch out for 2 things, guillotine or a knee. Chances are he's worked on them (any boxer in mma should, I've used both).

depending on skill levels, I'd say the experienced boxer has the advantage. If you've only been training a few weeks and don't have any other fighting skills you may be in for a beating. I assume you'll both be wearing gloves and head gear?

Its not about 'style vs. style',its more like 'experience vs. experience'. And seeing that your BJJ is only a few weeks old, while his Boxing is a coupla years, you might be in for one if you dont have much prior fight experience, since it(experience) is the best teacher.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA FOR YOU. THE QUESTION IS NEVER WHICH IS THE BEST MARTIAL ART, IT'S WHO'S THE BETTER ARTIST.

ALL THIS GUY HAS TO DO IS WATCH A SINGLE UFC EVENT AND HE'LL KNOW YOUR STRATEGY. BACK OUT NOW SO BJJ(AND YOU) CAN SAVE FACE.

I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH.

Um, if you have good wrestling skills and can take him down easy then you shouldnt have a problem.

But it seems to me that your only a beginner, youve only been doing doing BJJ for about a month. So yea, your probably going to get KOed

Good luck buddy
