No. It says in the bible that Christians will be persecuted and hated. It is one of the signs of the end times. It also speaks of hatred toward God's people, the Jews. Things are only going to get much worse.

The bible is the word of God. Science is beginning to turn to the bible and they will put it to a rigorous test. I think that they will find that we all can agree, that we all are alike under all the stupidity, and the past doesn't have to be our future. We only need a vision of the future and fill it up. You know, what goods and services do we need, move people out of flood, earthquake and tsunami areas, decide what is true objectively, and although Christian may come off about as bad as atheists and Muslims, they will all be able to save face as they all are right about a lot. People take different stand because they have a lot of information the other side doesn't see. Looking scientifically or objectively and they can see that we are all brothers and we will all love one another. Truth is stranger than fiction. When you get on a discussion board like this you tend to get a lot or negatives that are lies. The truths we can agree on but have trouble putting them together with our partial understanding. That is all changing now you can help change it. One inspired person can inspire the world. Two is nuts, but thousand are getting it and it will spred like wild fire.

It depends on what you mean by open minded. People are leaving religions and joining other religions all the time. Christians become atheists, and atheists become Christians. By open minded do you mean will people become more tolerant? The answer is no....religion has always been a hot-spot with people through out the worlds history, and will continue to be til the end of time.

No. I hope that people will become less open minded when it comes to religion, as religion is false. That's why it's called religion. If it had any facts to back it up, we could label it a science and run with it. If it had moral arguments and reasonings (instead of just rules) we could label it a philosophy and put it into action.

If prophecy is to be fulfilled they will have to. Only enlightenment and education can open the minds of the fanatic. Some who are new to religion, we call baby believers, are filled with what they have discovered and zealous to share it with others. As time goes by many will become more at peace with their beliefs and ready to learn more about them and others as well...these are mature believers. Religion is, as all things are, a process of growth (even if the religion is no belief).

This is how the Bible for tells the attitude of people in the last days........2 Timothy 3:1-7...3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

I sure hope so. What right do we have to suggest that someone Else's region is wrong and ours is right. None. People of different nationalities and languages use different names for God but that doesn't mean that they are any more right or wrong than we are.

Different religions believe different things. It's all in the interpretation of the Bible or what ever name someone wants to call God's book. As long as there are people on earth , many of us will interpret things differently. The main thing to remember is to treat people the way you want to be treated and respect their opinion.

If we continue on the path we have been on the last few thousand years, then no. Nothing about religion these days seems open-minded. It's what people have been killing each other over.

Religion will shortly fade out of existence. In the next few decades, you will not see the same number of religious adherents as you do now. In the US you can expect to see numbers equal to what they are in most of Europe right now. In Canada and the rest of the world, the religious population will be so small that it will be but a tiny minority.
