yes, they can do it pretty much on any animal. Depending on the age of it, you may not want to put it through that, if he/she is close to their life expansion. I would talk to your vet.

I love Guinea pigs. I had one named Homer. He was the cutest thing.

Why not just buy another guiniea pig, they are less than 15 bucks. BTW most of these little guys only live 3-5 years max.
