Usually I think of myself of a good person, but I am aware that I can be a jerk when I'm angry. I just seem to completely lose it. For example, lately, I have been a lot better, but due to stressors in my life such as a big move, I seem to be more irritable lately. My boyfriend and I got into an argument, and I basically told him to "shut the hell up," but with a meaner word. I feel like such a *****, to be blunt. I felt so badly about it afterwards, but in the moment, I feel like I just lose it. The worse part is, he's so calm, and never says anything mean to me - it's always me doing the yelling. But I think that annoys me even more. Is this normal? Do most people swear and yell, or am I just a *****?

It's normal for people who can get emotional to start swearing & screaming at their partner when they're fighting. Mkae up sex after it is great though.

I'm sure that he understands that it has very little to do with him, and that the stresses in your life are really getting to you. If you aren't sure that he knows this, tell him! He seems very calm and rational, and would certainly understand. I get really angry too, and swear like a sailor so I feel like such a jerk after, but the people around me understand that I'm merely venting at a situation and not at them. If you think that your anger is seriously out of control, maybe try anger management courses, so that you can better learn how to manage your anger, and put less stress on your relationship :)

You aren't a *****. You have unresolved underlying anger issues that need to be dealt with through counselling. If you really want to make it work with your BF, or in ANY relationship, you should seek counselling. Stress in itself should not cause you to blow up like that. It's not normal. It will drive your guy away if you don't learn to control your behavior.

When you're angry it's very hard to control your emotions and what you say. It's just something that you need to work on.
