I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Are you the 10 year old? If so, how "fat" is "fat" ?

At 10 your body is still growing. Unless you are extremely overweight (like more than a grownup should weigh) it is more important to focus on staying the same weight and letting your body catch up. If you want to loose weight, diet and exercise are your best bets. Make sure that you get plenty of water (like 8 cups per day) and exercise. Also, eat healthy foods. Sodas, juice, and too much milk add to weight problems. just make sure that you get plenty of nutrition... you can get calcium from lowfat yogurt and cheese and you can eat fresh fruit. Also, make sure you don't overdo the fatty meats, breads, and pasta. Your diet should mainly consist of fresh vegetables, whole grains (whole wheat bread is better for you than white), and fresh fruits.

If a 10 year old is extremely overweight, chances are that the school will have a talk with him/her and the parents about it. I was 147 pounds at 10 years old. The school nurse talked to me about how I needed to exercise more and eat healthier foods.

A ten year old, shouldn't be fat at all. Get off the internet and go play. Stop eating sweets & stop drinking soda or any other sweetened beverage.

If you're not ten and just curious about how to lose weight, research the master cleanse. But you must be careful and change your diet once you are finished.

You can't lose weight in just a week. Losing weight will take months, maybe years depending on how much you need to lose.

We can't judge if you're "fat" as we don't know how much you weigh, or your height.

well you might barely be able to lose maybe 2 pounds in one week but you have to say your determind and stick with it trust me easier said then done but when i was ten i was a little chubbie i weighed about 78 - 80 pounds but i dont know the wight for a ten year old well i hope my information helps you out
