Instead of believing that God's word is warped. I would question the validity of the priest saying anything to you. I think that you sound very normal for a 14 year old. God wants to have a great relationship with you. The Bible is our guide to that relationship. But you need to have a Bible that is accurate. The Message is not. The King James Version, New American Standard Version, New International Version and others. Prayer is the way you speak to God, and he will answer your prayers. Pray before you start reading and you will learn the truth.

It's perfectly normal for a 14 year old (or any person of any age) to question his faith. Religion is faith in God that has been warped by humanity. Now is a good time to ask yourself what YOU believe about God. I went through something very similar and am constantly drawn to what Jesus said and did, instead of what others say about him. The Bible has accounts that show he accepted all people with love, compassion and patience. He shared his message of peace with others, but didn't force it on them. He didn't care what people did in their past. He was more concerned with creating a friendship with them. Finally, he didn't put up with other peoples' warped sense of religion. Remember when he went into the temple and flipped the tables? It's not about religion. It's about faith, hope, patience and drawing strength from God.
God bless you, kiddo. You're on an adventurous path.

first off you need to leave religion, religion offers no salvation.. read about cornelius in acts chapter 10, cornelius was religious, but did not know God..
secondly- if you think God's word is warped then you think God is warped, do what the bible says to do 2Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
third- compare yourself to the scripture and see if you are in a right relationship with God..
fourth- remember there is nothing we can do to earn, merit, buy, deserve salvation.. it is a FREE gift
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

No it isn't normal but it is very beautiful. I am 18 and at 14 I thought I wasn't normal because I wanted to become a priest. Sometimes I still think that is what God wants for me and maybe I am trying to deny it. Follow your heart and most importantly follow the word of God. You are a lucky guy to be in touch with God at a early age. Learn what faith is to you and fly with it. God Bless You.

faith is critical for 14 12 months olds. little doubt. yet so is nice grammar and proper articulation of what you are attempting to declare. i could no longer often decifer what it grew to become into you have been asking. however permit me attempt to advise you somewhat... i'm happy you grew to become removed from a life with out God. God is genuine and you of course understood that when you got here back to Christ. Congratulations! as long as you bypass to church weekly i'm confident you dont' ought to sit down down in church all day. possibly your priest is right. possibly God does have an extremely particular plan for you. what's it? Pray. Pray harder. examine your Bible. pay interest to the international around you and that i think of it may grow to be clearer. you like God's elementary reality? seem interior the Bible. God's observe is God's reality. i do no longer understand what this "imperfect guy" employer is yet you're genuine that God's observe could be warped through guy. It variety of seems such as you're no longer pleased with the Catholic Church however i in my opinion am undecided what you attempt to declare. Say your prayers, communicate over with clergy, examine your Bible and concentration on sinless living and that i think of it somewhat is going to all artwork out.

Before the modern era popularized the teen culture, 14 year olds were doing great things. You are extremely lucky to be looking for the truth at this age.
I was once a quasi-atheist as well. The I found peace, sense and contentment in Islam. Let me invite you to consider the message of Islam. You may start here: http://www.islam101.com/theology/index.htm

It is good to ask questions. Most people really figure things out in their 20s so you have time. Read different people with different ideas and one will eventually sound right.

It is normal for a fourteen year old to be confused.
Know that the Bible is the word of God, and that it is not warped.
You can seek truth in the scriptures.
However, I often advise seekers to read the gospel of John.
Try to absorb all that you can from it.
Try to create a visual in your mind as you read it.
You will be blessed if you do this.
