I think if you VOLUNTEERED you GO where you ARE TOLD TO go. PERIOD.
I personally have been there and done that route.
Please be mindful when everyone says bring home our troops, they tend to forget that those troops signed up for the MILITARY, militaries fight wars, DUH???? No one forced them and if i remember correctly right before raising my hand i Still had the option to back out....nuf said.

As much as I hate the war, and i have personal experience with it (2 tours with the Marines), and as much as I think it was BS that we ever invaded, and as much as i felt betrayed a little by my government for being there on false pretenses, no. we shouldn't bring the troops home just yet. We started a huge mess. I mean, it;s pretty ridiculous. But if you watch the news ever, you already no that. But if we bring the troops home now, the problem will grow much worse. There were no terrorists in Iraq before the war. Now there are so many, you could throw a rock into any crowd in Iraq and it'll hit 5 terrorists before it hits the ground. I will say that bringing the troops home would be a hell of a lot better than staying on this asinine course. A change of plans is definitly called for.

If they leave now, we'll be abandoning Iraq in our mission and good will to give them a freer nation.
I think some people who dissagree with me, think that we are poking are nose where it doesn't belong. But how can we be predominantly christian nation and not care that the Iraqis suffered under Saddam's reign? The Democrats say that they care about human suffering, but American History has proven that they have never been able to coordinate successfully a humanitarian effort.
God Bless Your Cousin and Uncle...and I thank them for their service!

I am an army reserve vet and I think that they should have been home long ago. I am all for the soldiers training the iraqi soldiers but how long is that suppose to take. In this country our guys are given 6 to 8 weeks tops and then we are as ready as we are going to get for combat. If you notice all the top military brass that has disagreed with Bush has been replaced.

Well, I don't think that now is the right time for them to come home from Iraq. If their tour of duty is over, then sure they should come home, as long as they have a replacement when they leave. They still have a job to do for our country and that job is to rebuild what will be a strong ally for the U.S. one day.

The only way the US can possibly win in Iraq is if the conquer the entire Mideast because the terrorist who fight in Iraq come from all over the mideast. Otherwise they'll have to just stay in Iraq forever, just like we do in S. Korea.

Fact is we are in a locked down situation
Bush was TOLD that this would be the case BEFORE he went in
We can not leave-- to go would mean chaos and blood like the country has NEVER seen-- and you know that it has seen quite a lot !!! Colin Powell said it best when he said---you break it--you've bought it---none of that mattered to a man dead set on target to avenge his daddy !!! Now we are locked into a major snaffu---can't leave or there will be civil war and chaos---are not having any positive results by staying because there was no set plan on how to win the peace once we took the sucker down !!!
Thanks again GW---once again-- your lack of ANY management skills whatsoever has left another group of investors (the American taxpayers) sucking air for relief from your air brained lack of forward thinking !! Or any clue where to go from the wasteland that you've brought us to !!!

1. if we didn't have soldiers there, we would be risking our freedom and the wars could probably end up here in America. 2. no matter how important the war on terrorism is, every soldier should be allowed to take time off of the war. ( which thankfully they do).and 3. we are lucky that there are not any more drafts. its freedom that allows people to go to war or not. and 4. they will be able to come home when their shift there is over and they can stay here if they wish. I would like you to know that i am proud to be an American, having so many brave men and women like your cousin and your uncle fighting for our freedom. i will pray for them and all of the rest of our soldiers fighting for us.
