This works for me and I have 3 boys! If the threat of having a shot doesn't work, then you have to think of the most important thing in the child's play life such as video games, favorite toy, bike, T.V., or maybe going to a particular friends house or other place and tell him if he doesnt take the medicine then they are taken away for a certain amount of time, smaller kids for example til the weekend, or bigger ones a week or so. Hope this helps!

Tell him winged monkeys will carry him away and drop him in the ocean if he doesn't stop that nonsense. Failing that, tell him the medicine is keeping a whole pumpkin from growing in his lungs and stopping him from breathing. Hey, he's GOING to have nightmares over something; you may as well turn that to your advantage if it makes things easier. Just don't crack a smile or it won't be convincing.
When he gets older and asks why you lied to him, tell him it was for his health and to give him tools to use on HIS kids. They're one of an adult's most implacable enemies, so anything goes, short of rabbit punching them in the back of the head until they give in. That WILL calm him down, but I don't recommend it. If you can't reason with him and he's pouring the stuff out a window, nail the window shut and use FEAR. As an adult, a kid's ignorance can be one of your best tools in the war to get things tended to properly.
No, it doesn't sound "nice," but his health matters more and besides, the little monsters leave you few options, ahem. Good luck!

I don't have that problem sorry. My son hates medicine but I am the parent I say drink and he drinks. I always give him a drink of water to wash it down with and this makes him happy. If he tipped it out the window ....well it wouldn't be pretty and he would be paying for his medicine with his own pocket money

bribery always works or you could just hold him down and force it in his mouth (might require a few people depending on the kid) hes lucky hes not my kid i wouldnt put up with dumping medicine out, i would have taken it out of his piggy bank to buy more.

Depending on the medicine, you may be able to put it in his juice. Do it when he isn;t looking, and just make sure he drinks it all. It should still be effective.
Alternatively, you could offer him a bribe.

All kids like bubble gum... no matter what the flavor... I constantly tell my kids that the flavor is bubble gum. Now I can't STOP him from taking medicine!

Maybe make a flavor of kool-aid he likes and give him a cup of it and put the meds in it. Make sure he drinks it all though, and don't let him see you mix it up.
