Was there a huge movement to jail President Harry S. Truman after World War II? After all, he did order the dropping of two Atomic Bombs on Japan and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians? Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of additional civilians that were killed by conventional weapons prior to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The answer is NO! In fact he's considered one of history's most respected Presidents--and rightfully so.

The cold harsh truth is that there are people out there with ideals and hatred far beyond the comprehension of the average civilized human being. No matter how much you want peace with them, they want you to die. It was the same with Nazi Germany, Imperialist Japan, and the current Radical Islamists.

It's military action that's eliminated these global threats, not reaching out. No one likes or wants war but the fact is that sometimes civilians die for the benefit of the world. History shows this time and time again. Although no shots were fired in anger, even the Cold War was won buy Military Strength that surpassed that of the USSR.

The point I'm trying to make is that Presidents are faced with tough decisions because we ARE the greatest country in the world and have the most influence. The current president has faced arguably the toughest challenge since the days that George Washington fought to establish our very independence from an Imperialist England (another example of peace through military action).

Give the President a break, you only hear of his failures because all of the successes of the war on terror largely have to be kept confidential for YOUR own safety.

I'm just glad the media didn't exist in its current form during WWII or we'd all be speaking German or Japanese, and would not have the freedoms you enjoy by posting such absurd questions against the head of state.

America's military actions are noble and they always will be, for the benefit of the world.

God bless any sitting President because their responsibilities are far beyond what you could imagine.

God bless the troops because whether you agree with the war or not, they're putting their lives on the line so YOU can sleep safe at night and criticize the safely President during the day.

And finally, GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Everything he's done has been with Congressional and UN approval, so I don't see that happening. At least he didn't send us in and then extract us after one day of fighting, like a certain President did in Somalia.

If a prosecutor presses charges, gets them past a grand jury, and then convicts him, then yes. Just like anyone else. Of course, that'll never, ever happen.

Stupid question. Clinton has a much better chance of going to jail for what he did with his cigar.

if you think that protecting your butt is a crime then you are seriously senile, and you need a reality check because i have 7 friends in Iraq and I myself am going, and every one of them will tell you that it is totally worth it, and they also said that what we hear on the news is BS and its not the story at all
