Tacconelli's in Fishtown...hands down. Tip: call early and reserve your dough (that means order your pie). If you wait until 6:00pm to order, you'll be out of luck. They usually sell out of dough by noon.

For do it yourself pizza: Try Momma's on Main St. in Manyunk. You can buy the dough and sauce and make it yourself at home.

I've heard a lot about Taconelli'a in North Philly, but I think after that, you have to look on your own, or just go to Jersey. There ain't too many good pizza spots in this city,

i hate the pizza in this city but if i had to pick i'd say any of the chicken pizzas from joe's pizza, soho pizza on market (although it can be a little greasy) or rembrandt's (the texture of the crust is great, but it's a little bland tasting). i miss lombardi's!
