When I know want to wear my hair curly (mine is naturally curly but can get frizzy) I wash and condition my hair the night before (if you sweat a lot at night this may not be best for you) and put in anti-frizz serum -my new fave is tresseme anti-frizz secret it's great!- and some medium to strong hold gel. Again I use tresseme but use what you prefer or what work best with your hair. If your hair is straight you'll need a stronger gel if it's got wave or curl you can get away with medium strength. Then I pull it up like I'm going to put it in a ponytail then twist it till it forms a bun. I secure with a elastic with no metal thing on it. This is very important because if it has one it will leave an indenture. Then I just go to bed and let it dry. In the morning take it down run your finger through it (don't brush - you'll loose all your curl and end up with a pouffy mess) I spray a light hold hair spray on and depending on the weather, if it's rainy or humid I add more anti-frizz stuff, and go! It's super easy and quick if you plan for it. This will give you loose curls/waves all over. If you want tighter curls do a few of these like 3 in back, 3 on each side, and 3 on top. This will give you a curlier look. Both are great! I sometimes like to pull just my bangs up and it can go from work or school straight to hanging out with friends or going on dates without much effort!

Good Luck!

You should wash and condition your hair with a product for fine or limp hair first (Sunsilk Volumizing). Then before drying, use volumizing creme or gel. If you're going with Sunsilk, they also have a line of 24 hour cremes that work wonderfully. Then flip your head over while blowdrying. Make sure your curling iron is set on the highest setting. If you are trying to achieve spirals, then roll the up high (not to the scalp, but about 3/4 of the way), then turn the iron straight up and down. Hold it for at least 10 seconds, then slide the hair out of the iron without releasing it. If you don't want to do all this then the only other solution I could give you is to go to the salon and have a body wave put in it. Not a perm!!!!!!!!! Some people call it a "Spiral". If you choose this method, you can wash, apply mousse or gel and blowdry. I hope this was helpful.

take a section and wrap it around the outside of the curling iron (no creases) then if you want it to all be in one big twirl like in a pony tail curl it all the same direction oh yeah always use a some kind od product on your hair to protect it so it dont get fried if it still loks fried try gettting a trim and a deep condition

make sure your iron is hot but not too hot -- that's what will fry it. take a small section and, starting at the top wrap your hair around it. Hold for a few seconds then, when you release the iron, hold it vertically, pulling it down toward your shoulders (does this make sense?!?). start at a section on the bottom and work your way up to the top. hope this helps

if you really like it curly you could get a perm. that will save you time so you don't have to curl your hair every day.
