do you really think you're ready to lose him as your friend?
if you do then go ahead take the risk. tell him everything... how you feel for him... you wanna kiss him... every little thing you feel, make your confession worth the risk...
be sure youre ready to whatever kind of reaction from him..
if he'll say: "yeah, i feel the same..." then good for you!
if not, then tell him youre sorry because you cannot stand being his friend anymore while everytime youre with him you keep on falling for him... it's like a torture and you cannot forget him if you'll continue your friendship then walk away, never look back when you still have that feelings for him...
well, these are just if youre really ready to face the consequences of telling him how you feel...
if not, perhaps youre still enjoying having the chances of seeing him, talking to him, being close to him then it's up to you...
if you think you can find another man you can fall for while having his friendship then that's good.
or maybe youre optimistic and youre thinking that in the end he'll finally give up your friendship by telling you he loves you just the way you do, it's up to you.
before you decide to do any step, think about it first...
goodkuck!

Seriously, kiss him! He either has feelings for you or he's gay! Either way it will work out, you'll either hook up, or he'll get over it. Guys are not like you gals, he has feelings for you or he wouldn't hang out with you; he would be hanging out with the other chick he has the hots for!
Also, you mention that he has never tried anything! You have to realize that women are raised to have a distorted view of reality by being mind-washed into waiting for Mr. Romance-Right to come over and sweep them off their feet. Reality is that not all guys are as forward as women think they ideally should be. Word of wisdom follows:
The guys that are forward and come on to you are highly likely to come on to other women and are no good in the long run. The good guys (which all women say they want) are found through mutual advances and incremental indications of affection! Translation? Make small suggestions that you like him (Be patient, we don't always get it) and judge his response, e.g. does he poke you back when playing around or affectionately touch you. If all else fails..... take initiative and tell him that you like him! It works!

Maybe he's felt the same way even if he hasn't tried anything. I would wait til you get back from your trip or towards the end of it. That way if he turns you down, you won't have to have this awkwardness on the trip. Use your time together to feel him out though. Flirt with him more than usual and see his reaction. If he responds well, tell him how you feel or just go for it. It's scary, but don't deny what your heart wants. Good luck!

Well he probably wants to kiss you too because no guy can become a girls friend and not like her more than a friend. Unless he already has a girlfriend. So my advice is to just go for it when the time feels right. If he pulls away so what your still friends and if he dosnt then your dreams have come true.

Instead of kissing him why don't you ask him how he'd feel if you and him tried to date each other and see what he says. I think kissing would be a bad idea. It would be better if you just asked him if he thinks you and him should date each other. If he doesn't feel the same way about you and you kissed him that could ruin your friendship but if you talked about his feelings and asked him then you could save your friendship and possible be more then friends but it's just a suggestion.

Hun more than likely if he's your friend he likes you and is shy because typically when guys are friends with girls and we make the move it is either a complete score or a strikeout. Guys are ussually so afraid of messing up by making a move that they decide to be passive. If he likes you he does little things that you may hardly notice. Like calling you sweetie, or holding a door open, or coming to your play, or by blowing off his friends to spend time w/ you. Good luck.

I married my best friend. I made the first move after 5 years. Go ahead. If he rejects you at least you'll know. If he doesn't it may the best thing ever. But if you never try you'll live with it forever. Good luck and have fun.

Every guy in the world is waiting for a girl to grab him by the collar and give him the hottest kiss ever...unless you look like a man.

When you guys are alone, flirt and be kinda touchy feely like poking him or trying to like tickle him or what not. he may just feel the same and make the move on you. If he doesnt like what you're doing then im sure you will get the signs =]

I don't understand why did you write you are going away with your guy friend? because the comment after only shows your feelings, and doubts, one advice is not to ruin a good friendship with a bad romance, specially if it comes only from your side.
