I keep telling everybody lots and lots of cardio stay away from white stuff bread, pasta, potatoes, rice etc. and other refined sugars

Aerobics or dancing classes and maybe treadmill and running all for a total of 4-5 times a week, do abdominal exercises to tone and build strengthen your core, and we all know building muscles helps burn more calories, even while you're resting.

Try the south beach diet one of the first places you will lose is in your belly because of the diet they give you. But do cardio while dieting. I reccommend it because it ultimately leads you into a healthy lifestyle by the end of the phase of the diet, although the first phase is the most difficult because it is very restricting but you are detoxing your body and trying to shock your system and rid of cravings for refined carbs and bad fats. Most local libraries carry the book.

Crunches are good. You can try to make it fun by maybe doing it with one of those big exercise balls or some type of equipment. Also jogging/walking with a friend will be fun way to walk away some of the belly fat. The more fun you try to make your exercising habit.. the more you want to do it. Be creative! Also you can join a gym where you can get some motivation that you need when exercising, Some gyms are expensive but try to find the one you like. Not only will you be getting in shape, you may even find a new friend!

But most of all, eat healthy. I know that it's really hard to try to eat healthy when there's all those fast food places around. Subway is a good place to go when you're on the run. That's where I try to eat most of the time when needing to eat out. Also, try to drink more water instead of Pop. The less you drink, the more pounds/calaries you loose! Good luck! :)

It has been my experience that only aerobic exercise will reduce belly fat because fat belongs to the whole body and spot reducing has never worked for me. 20 - 30 minutes of steady activity such as walking fast alternated with short spurts of running, aerobic videos, any movement done steadily for 20 minutes that gets your heart rate up. Make sure you are ok physically to do this type of activity and do not have any health concerns that would make this unwise. My favorite workout video at the moment is Denise Austin's "Blast Away 10 Pounds".

The other thing is to reduce your fat intake and don't starve yourself. Just eat healthy foods such as vegetables, complex carbs like brown rice, fruit, a small amount of dairy every day, and drink plenty of water.
Also, make sure you get plenty of good sleep and try to reduce the stress in your life if you can.
Best wishes to you!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

I've been taught that fat really can't be decreased at a certain area of the body. So I would say aerobic exercises (Tae-Bo, DDR, Jogging / Running / Walking) would be a good way to loose weight including belly fat.
