Mohammad was convinced that he was the messenger whom Christ was referring to as the Counsellor which was written in the Book of John. And that his coming will be the signs of the end times.
Although after Mohammad, there has been a lot of soothsayers, fortune tellers, seers that they claim to be false prophets so that people would only have to pay their attention to them. As long as mankind exists on earth, there will always be someone who can foretell the future and those are whom we call in these present generation as the scientists who were able to learn from the past and have known the conditions that exists in the world that be can make them certain of the next occurrences.
Miracles of yesterdays are technology today. The Bible were able to help people shape their future in the absence of science and now that man are equipped with knowledge that God has paved for them, anyone who foretells what will happen to the future based on the Bible systems will have to be carefully examined.

Read the book of revelation. The false prophet will come as soon as the antichrist appears. And who is this antichrist. Just watch if there is someone the Jews accept as their Messiah who is born of a virgin (claimed or in view of cloning technique), of Davidic lineage, having the power to perform miracles etc (like Jesus), he may have been assassinated but brought to life with the help of computer chips (like the crucifixion). All qualities seem to equal Jesus. Then the false prophet will come. So concentrate your attention on the news in Israel. However, if you want to come off safe, turn to Jesus Christ and be raptured before the antichrist arrives. You need not have to go through the 7 years of tribulations as predicted in the book of revelation. Why be a loser?

Nostradamus was proven wrong, so he's no prophet, as was Edgar Cayce ... Pat Robertson should be stoned lol, he's no prophet, never was.
A prophet is also a teacher, don't forget that; it is possible God meant false teachers, which sort of makes sense.

Of course people like Falwell, Robertson, Graham, etc can be called false, they build their empires on wealth, not poverty as Christ did. When he went to Heaven he left behind not wonderful legacy of Millions of Lire for the Apostles to spread around. So, why aren't they taking his position who claim TO BE DOING HIS WILL and FOLLOWING IN HIS "Footsteps?" They are nothing like him. He was humble, not wearing a "shrub doo" worth hundreds of dollars and suits worth thousands.
