I like this boy and I have known him longer my friend likes him too what should i do? I dont wanna hurt her feeling if I ask him out and he says yes!

Just tell your friend that you are planning on asking him out. He isn't with either of you so it's fair play. If you are upfront and honest with your friend she will respect that.

In love and war anything goes, take him for yourself if he wants you ask him. If he wants her ask him. Either way you will know where you stand with him. If he does want to be with you then your friend is s.o.l. if he wants her, gratiously back down and find someone else.
