shorten the lenght of the leash you're walking her on. have her walk right next to your side and when she puts her head down to sniff or pick up something pull up and the leash and just keep walking. if she's a young pup and it's safe to do so, when she does pick up something tell her to drop it and then take your hand and retrieve it out of her mouth. don't be aggressive, just very calm. and when she lets you have it, tell her she's good girl. those are the basics, since she's not your pup and it's up to her owners to finish her training.

well, bring her a toy when you go walking. Let her know to chew her toy. Throw it for her and make her excited for it. If she picks up rocks, just slide your index finger into the mouth through the side and the mouth will open. Good luck!

He's picking up the rocks anc chewing on them because he is teething. He has teeth coming in that are hurting a little. What you can do is go to the pet store and they will show you what toys are good for puppies who are teething.

If it starts, try clapping your hands loudly and tell it no.
If that doesnt work, Use your index finger and your thumb and squeeze the side of its cheeks firmly, NOT TOO HARD THOUGH.
Do not resort to hitting if this does not work.
Use a Spray bottle and squirt the dog as he is going to pick up the stone.
This is the most annoying way.

Sounds like an American Pit Bull Terrier. Ours is a year and a half and when he is outside and he gets really excited he will chew on rocks. He does it gently so that he doesn't hurt himself(pulls his gums over his teeth). But we also supervise him. I don't know how to teach them to stop though.

just watch her carefully and if she gets one in her mouth just go in after it, I have a miniature poodle and he has picked up twigs and chicken bones and I've had to get them out of his mouth.
