yes, that would be very helpful. I know that there are programs that you can download or buy that lets you put in the dimensions of your space and creates it for you and then you can add furniture and arrange as you see fit.

Yes, a floor plan would be very useful. but ultimately besides the floor plan, you should also provide some information on why u wanted to rearrange your furniture. eg, due to space, design, new theme, or you are just bored with the furniture.

If you are bored with the furniture or the design, then maybe you need to change a few pieces of it, for a brand new look or rather some maybe a ble to achieve a new look by just changing some of the fabrics of the furnitures.

if you are concerned with the space then the dimensions of the floor plans and furniture size must be accurate and to-scale in order for a more accurate feedback.

So rather then the floor plan, i think the emphasis should be what is your objectives you wished to achieve on rearrangement before people can better advice you.

Cheers

Definitely a floor plan or at least a drawing of your room is a must otherwise it's a fly by night guess as to where the door(s) are, windows if any, length/width of the room etc. Whether there are any items (fire places, pillars, wall dividers etc).

Also, the furnishings that are currently in the rooms. Whether they are bulky or not.

This will help someone to lay out the rooms in a professional, functional manner.

You could just take small objects such as dice or game peices from like Monopoly and draw your own layout of each room and put the pieces where you think a couch/chair might look nice etc...
