Do you love God?

Question

You know there are 4 basic questions which every religion trys to answer are. And atheism is a religion. You guys believe there is no God. These 4 questions are...

Who am I?
Where do I come from?
Why am I here?
Where am I going when I die?

This is what real Christianity says about it.

We are God's creation. God made us to have a relationship. To love us, and hopefully for us to love Him back. That's why we have free will. That's what makes us different from animals, we have free will to choose whether or not to love God. And if we choose to love God we become God's child. He'll take us in and love us and have that relationship with us. If we choose to love Him and ask Him to save us from our punishment for our sin He will. That's what Jesus was for. The sin sacrifice. He paid for our punishment. So if we die and we have made that choice to love we'll go to heaven to live eternally with Him in love. If we have denied Him we have to take our punishment and go to Hell.

It's amazing how many atheists there are that don't accept emails. You don't want to debate or something?

WOW!!! Ho,ho,ho and a Merry christmas to you too.Its really hard to believe in some of you people out there,someone very dear to you dies,you can't pay the rent,you don't have any thing to eat,you really want that job, that you applied for,that car,that girlfriend,boyfriend ,house,the light bill,the water bill,phone bill,you want to have a baby,a family,you just don't want to be lonely,you need a secound chance at what ever it is,you want somebody, any body to talk with,that listens to your deepest desire,your sadest tale,that understand you,that cares for you,that truly loves you,that never lets you down,that is always there for you,no mater the time,of day,or night,they have been many of occation that we all have gone thru some if not all,or much more then the above mention,and if you have not, then believe you me,you will.Why,is it that the very frist thing that we all say is DEAR GOD,PLEASE,PLEASE,HELP US!!!! I will never,never,do this or that again,once that your wife,or husband,say,o.k.baby we'll try one more time, or that burning hot knife, that someone left stuck in your heart,for what ever reason,stops burning,most people take everything for granted,and go back to being the way that they were before,getting themselfs back into trouble once more and sometimes even into more or bigger problems,then they were before,then they, turn around and blame God once again,breaking every promise ever made. Granted we do not alway, deserve what we receive,But,DID He?I have had,my share of ups and downs,i have been happy,sad,both rich in many ways,yet,poor in others.I once lost everything dear to me,even my faith in him,i even wanted to take my own life,now,that's really two of worst,or the dumest things that anyone, anywhere, for what ever reason, could ever do.We all say and do really dum things when we are hurt or pissed off,even if we were wrong first.But,THANKS TO GOD!!! After a few days of really,thinking everthing,over and over again,i realized,just how wrong i had been.So,i asked God, to forgive me,took hold of my faith once again and tried to go on with my life,from scratch.I have been, happily married for nineteen years now,i have learned, how not to expload, for any stupid little reason and not to ever,ever,hurt anyone in any way,especially those that i love.which for some, unheard of reason,we always do,at least i use to.And last but,not least and most important of all is to have realized,that living,even if it is on a life support machine,is still living,and never,ever losing,Faith in God,he is all that you'll need to get by, it's really, really important,because,with faith, in God and youself,you will never be lost,please, don't forget faith moves mountain.If you think, that you had it so bad, up to now and that noththing is going to ever change,Please,give God,another try,just try believing in him,give him time,do not rush him,have faith in him.And this time,when things start going your way,once again,say thank you lord, at least once in a while,as you should do with those that you love, ,say,hey you know what,I LOVE YOU,AND YOU WILL SEE,WHY,I LOVE GOD,AND WHY,YOU WILL BE LOVING,HIM TOO.Have you ever read FOOTSTEPS IN THE SAND,if you have not well,its about time.And lets be real you dont always get you you wish for,even kings don't,after all,HELLO,LOOK AT WHAT, GOD,HAD TO DO WITH HIS ONLY SON....JUST TO SAVE AND GET PEOPLE LIKE YOU TO BELIEVE IN HIM.AMEN,AND MAY YOU AND YOURS HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEARS,REMEMBER,YOU HAVE ALREADY,TRIED NOT BELIEVEING,TRY,FAITH,REAL FAITH, DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR FAITH FOR ANYTHING,YOU HAVE GOT, NOTHING TO LOSE...AND EVERYTHING TO GAIN,AND THESE WERE,JUST A FEW REASONS AS TO WHY,I BELIEVE AND LOVE GOD,WITH ALL MY MIND,BODY,AND SOUL....AMEN....

If you denie him completely you probably will go to Hell but if you believe in god even as much as the size of a pea he will give you forgivness and chances that people should be greatful for.
It is your job in life to figure out who you are and why god desided to put you on this earth .
you come from god he is the one that allowed you parents to help create you.
I can tell you exsactly were you are going when you die you are either going to believe and trust in what god can do and he will always love you the question is are you going to love back and understand that god can do anything any where for any one including you or you can not believe not love and take what the devil will keep throwing at you.

I do agree that atheism is a religion and that is why they belong here just as much as Christians, pagans and any other spiritual belief. A lot of people who claim to be Christian want the atheist off this board, but they fail to understand this is not a christian only forum. Religion and spirituality covers ALL RELIGIONS AND SPIRITUAL WAYS OF LIFE. some people beleive this ia a Christian forum and that is far from the truth.

I will point out that you stated only opinion here, no facts, no sources. You did present a very popular, but very wrong beleif. It sounds as though you are one of those who claim just ask Jesus into hour heart and you will be saved. Satan has won a very huge ground with this lie. It is no where to be found in the bible.

Faith only is dead being alone James said in chapter 2 of his book in the bible.


Most professed Christians live their lives full of delusion, they point their finger at others and fail to see they are just as guilty of what they accuse others of.

Please do me a favor and follow your own advise of not stating opinions and present facts with your questions.

I bet you don't even beleive the bible or follow it I will give verses and do not expect or even want you to answer me directly, but to answer within your own heart. do you really belive the bible if so have you obeyed the following verses and do you claim this is essential for salvation, if not you deny the bible.

If you deny the thing taught above, then you deny the bible and teach something different than what the Apostles taught are you aware of what Paul says about people who teach a different gospel? Read for yourself what he says Galations 1:8,9

Do you beleive Paul in Ehpesians 4:4,5,6 If so how many churches are there? How many faiths? how many baptism? How many do you claim?

Where is your proof that you require of others? Are you better than the rest of us?


You said earlier that you beleive in absolute truth. You also lead the impression you think that truth lies with God. If so the bible is the absolut truth, and if you deny what above scripture teaches, you do not beleive in absolute truth.

At least I am honest. I saw the errors and I left Christianity after 25 plus years as a preacher. I studied the bible 35 plus years.

There is no absolute truth even if you claim there is, you are not God though you may think you are. I am pagan and there is only personal truth. Wicca is my religion. We do not claim to have all the answers, we do not proselatize, we are peaceful. We do not worship the devil, satan because he is a Christian myth and does not exist. We do not go around judging and pronouncing judgement on others if they do not beleive they way we do.

Unlike christians, we beleive in personal responsibility. We are responsible for our actions. We live by the harm non rule and this is different than Christianity where you can do anything and not be held responsibility becaus Jesus forgives you.

In my experience of 54 years on this planet Wiccans live better lives than Christians because Christians do wrong willfully because there is no personal responsibility because they feel jesus has forgiven them so they do not have to make things right with people when they do others wrong. My sources? Living and dealing with christians for 54 years and the first 14 years of my life in the Missionsry Baptis church, then 6 years in the southern baptist chruch, then one and a half years in the Assembly of god church, then one and a half years in the United Pentecostal Jesus only church, then a few months with the Jehovah's witness, then I became a Christian only in april of 1976 and spent the next 25 years beleiving the bible and studying it and having to carry a bibe around with me every day due to denominationalists attacking my beleif and I had to defend the Gospel every day. I even tried to just live my life and not let people know I beleived the bible and obeyed it, but Baptist and others are so agressive they would keep at me then when I stated where i worshipped, the attacks began.They refused to obey the scriptures and did not want me to either.

anyway i am through with all that. the bible I found out is full of myths and is not the absolute truth i once thought it was.

Wicca is a much more peaceful religion.

I love my God with all my heart.

To me, God does not reference to Yaweh, or Yeshua, or anything that can be given a name, but instead to a being that can only be described as The One or The All.

To me, God is in everything and everywhere around me. God's divine essence is within every animal, vegetable, mineral, person, thought, or action.

To me, God is accessable to all who have the capability of having a soul. If there is any sort of energy coming out of something, living or not, it can love God. Instead of loving something beyond us and accessable only though someone who lived thousands of years ago, I love something that was with us from the very beginnings of time.

To me, God is waiting for the day when my soul has finished with its travels, when it has learned what it needs to, so that I can reunite with God.

Atheist, Monotheist, Polytheist, Hedotheist, whatever you believe, I think God is in it.

I love God, I sit before him everyday in prayer, All the time. I call on him and listen for his voice. I ask to draw to me for I hunger for your righteousness. i believe that we are living in the after life already. we had life before this one, and for some reason, we wanted to come to this place.

noone is bad. the things a person might do may be wicked, but noone is actually bad, so this whole hell thing in the afterlife is rubbish. hell is on earth. "... life is but a dream" . Even a nursery rhyme says that.

You haven't really asked a question there.

And in reading your details, I can't help but have a question of my own pop into my head. You say that if you love God, he will take you in, love you, and you will have a relationship with him. Here's the thing, though: none of that ever happens. You love God, but there's no one there to actually love you back. No one hugs you, or kisses you, or tells you nice things to cheer you up when you are sad. Its completely one-sided, and all in your head. Doesn't that qualify as a mental disorder?

Atheism is not a religion.
Atheism is a philosophy which does accept supernatural beings............nothing is above nature.

Atheists do not care if you are superstitious and belief in the supernatural, we just don't; and most of us don't preach our beliefs. We comment when someone talks about us and religion.

I am glad you are happy...........and we are different from animals because we evolved this way.
