I just have this problem about obsessing over every problem that I come into face with. And it's usually the little things (like how to not look grumpy or whether or not its normal, at my age of 16, to be going places with my family) and sometimes the big things (life, afterlife, etc.), but mostly the small things. I don't know how to deal with it and I don't know if it's normal or anything and I could also create problems that I would have to obsess over. And I hate obsessing over things!!!!

It' sounds like you have anxiety disorder. Where you spend the day worring about every thing. About things that aren't even a problem like what you're discribing.
What you're discribing is anxiety. Everything is causing you anxiety. I googled anxiety disorder and was able to find info.

This must be so frightening for you. You need to talk to you're parents about this and not try to do this alone. You need to see a dr. There is some meds. you can take to help you with this. You can get past this. Hang on.

Read the articles from the links listed below to further understand your behaviors (the first article is about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, the second about Anxiety).

The second link is long so it may be chopped up during transmission of this answer. In that case, just go to http://www.kidshealth.org/, click on the icon Teen Site to the right, then on the tab Your Mind to the left of the new page. After that scroll the next page down to the section on Mental Health and click on the line All About Anxiety.

Eventually, I'd recommend you talk to your parents and/or your school counselor about getting professional help. There's no stigma to it. Lots of young people, and older people, are afflicted with either Obcessive Compulsive Disorder and/or Anxiety and getting professional help is the right way to go. Good luck!

If you have any compulsions associated with these obessions you probably have Obessive Compulsive Disorder http://www.ocfoundation.org/what-is-ocd.html but there is another disorder called Obessive Disorder(I looked for an explanation of what this was on the net but didn't get much help). Regardless of whether you have one of these or something else this seems to be impacting on your life a lot and you might want to consult a counselor or a psychologist to get help.

dude, just chill. analyzing something isn't wrong at all, but having it mess up your life isn't good. just say to yourself "kay, I gotta let this go now" and think about something abstract or non-existent. I have a problem similar to that and that method works for me. good luck/
