Most newsprint utilizes soy based dyes. My birds love to tear it up. You can also get an adding machine paper roll in which they love to pull and tear up. I make foraging toys by cutting newspaper into small triangles and putting a special treat in the center. I then close it by twisting the ends. Birds love opening their packages and it fends off boredom. Have a great year.

Why are they chewing it up or what? I raised keets for 10 years and they constantly chewed the cardboard I put on cages to block wind/water/sun. Did not loose a one to cardboard OD. Same with newspaper except the dye is no good. Put something in cage for them to chew on. ><>:)
