Quite often, my cat will sit and stare at me very intensely. It's kind of freaky. Sometimes I wonder if maybe she's my deceased gramma reincarnated...

HaHa!! I know how you feel, one of my two cats does that but I've never analyzed her like that before.

yeah, I have a 2 yr. old female ALL black cat who just sits on the bathroom rug and stares at me the whole time I'm drying my hair.

I luvvv her to bits but honestly it's really creepy when you suddenly awaken in the middle of night and theres a black cat sitting on your chest and staring at you with big yellow eyes!

Crazy!!!!!!!

she's a sweetheart though =^-^=

P.S. I Luvvvvvvv your picture!!! Too Cute!

My fiance says my cat does the same thing to me. It's VERY weird. LOL They just do it because they love us, and they're people watchers, anyway. They can sit by the window for hours (or watch tv for hours, for that matter...couch potatoes!), so it's no wonder that they enjoy loafing and staring contests with the someone they adore.

It's especially weird when I talk to my sweety, and he just stares back at me. It's like he understands or something!

i've got considered cats try this yet what i think of what they are truly doing is listening to noises from interior the partitions or above the ceiling. It does not ought to bugs or mice they are listening to yet there is obviously something there that pursuits them. Cats have incredible listening to and could hear all kinds of issues that human beings can not.

She is trying to give you a telepathic message and most of these messages involve the words: "FEED ME."
Seriously, the kitty stare is historically famous- the enigmatic look. You wonder what;'s going on between those furry little ears...

sometimes my cat abigail does but she also likes to stare at the tv when certain tv shows come on we all call her snooty because she always has to sit higher up then anyone else she has to sit above us mere humans and anythings possible she could be your grandma reincarnated......

Hi:

This behavior usually indicates the cat wants something from you. Try talking to the cat to see if it will further indicate what it might want. Hope this helps.

My oldest one used to but not anymore unless she's trying to get my attention. But after a few minutes, she will tap me instead.

My kitten Lex does that. He stares and stares. We call him "Picture kitty" because it looks like he wants his picture taken.
