I only nap if I am sick so I can get the rest my body needs because of being so dreained from being sick.
When my grandparents were alive, they would nap for 1/2 hour a day. No more. Even if they didn't sleep, they were resting their bodies. They still slept the whole night and they had no problems with wanting to sleep at night, or wanting to sleep longer during the day. If they slept for longer than 1/2 hour a day during the day, then they wehausted the rest of the day.
I think that even two hours is way too long of a nap. I can see it if you have a newborn and the child is keeping you up all night, or you have an older child that is keeping you up from being sick. But, to do this most days is just too much. Either your body is over worn out from too much sleep (yes, this can happen) or something is wrong medically. I would suggest you talk with your doctor about your long naps and wanting to sleep all the time. I do know that if your thyroid is low, you will want to sleep all the time. There are also reasons too. Only your doctor can really tell you. But, in the meantime, try not to sleep so much during the day and make nighttime the only time you sleep (unless, like I said, you have a newborn or an older sick child keeping you up at night).
Oh, and major stress in your life (emotional stress or any other) can cause you to want to sleep all the time too. Also depression can cause this. Again, talk with your doctor.

I love to nap also, I nap for 2 to 2 1/2 hours almost daily and sleep a normal 8 hour day, and I like it that way.

Most quick naps are like a power nap to regenerate you for the rest of the day. Do you have any type of exercise in your life? If you are an inactive person of course your body will want to rest. I would suggest you take a multi-vitamin every day and get out there and take a walk, join a gym, do something physical.
Good Luck.

a minimum of 10 hours? Wow. you understand, drowsing varieties/behavior have been studied & those analyze have shown that in case you get too lots sleep at night, you have a tendency to experience gradual the complete day besides, explaining why you experience the might desire to nap interior the day besides. That aside, I generally get precisely 8 hours of sleep. I generally awaken at 6-7am, depending on if that is my "run" day &/or on my youngest daughter who, even with my pleading, loves to awaken together with her dad at 5. i like naps even with the indisputable fact that, few & some distance between as they may well be for me. & while the moons are aligned & the two my ladies take an afternoon nap on the comparable time, I take a snooze because of the fact i'm drained.

I never nap, it makes me feel sick when I wake up.
I would suggest you sleep longer at night if you're so worried about this.
