Hi there...your cat would be considered a Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) black and white cat. If he is mostly black with hints of white he may be a DMH tuxedo cat.

It's hard to know. The mother could have been pregnant by more than one father at a time so the kittens could have different fathers which means the mother may have mated with a pure bred cat from somewhere. Sounds like a domestic short hair. Just know that having a mix breed cat means your cat will live longer. Pure bred cats and dogs have a shorter lifespan. Your cat can live up to twenty years. I had a domestic short hair and she lived eighteen happy years and was a great pet. The nice thing about having a cat for a pet is that when you don't feel like being an owner or giving them attention they take care of themselves. And cats have great personalities so you will be able to see your cat's personality grow as your cat grows.

Here's some tips on toys. I bought a llittle laser pointer from the store and they go nuts chasing it all over the house. Cats need something to scratch on, they love soft food once a week at least, and if they scratch at your furniture spray him or her with water.

Is this a guessing game?

He is probably just a domestic short hair. AKA a cat mutt.

(Excuse me, but I was being honest... I thought this might be one of the guessing games like where people want you to guess their pet's name or some such thing. If it is a black and white cat, the only thing I can tell you is that it is a domestic short hair, which is what the vet would call it. Sometimes a particular pattern is called a tuxedo, but all in all it is still a domestic short hair... which, as we all know, is just a fancy way of saying a cat mutt, a mix breed... Almost every cat I have ever owned was a domestic short hair, so what exactly is wrong with that? As a matter of fact, the best cat I EVER owned was a black and white domestic short hair that was rescued as a newborn and bottlefed. I owned him for about 15 years before he died of cancer. I was not trying to be rude in the least, so I am not sure why you jumped straight to that conclusion. Sorry to offend by answering your question with the best possible answer I could give you with the information provided! There is no need to be rude to people who are simply trying to answer your question. I am not sure where you took offense to some of the other answers, but the answer to your question is simply... "domestic short hair")

He's a mutt cat. I heard the term "bitsa" in terms of bit a this, bit a that, the other day. Really, if you don't know the breed of the cat, it prolly doesn't have a real breed.

It's okay, though. We've had I think 24 cats since I was born *we took in pregnant females three times, five kittens each, found them homes* and not one of them was any specific breed. It's the mutts that are the best.

Probably a "mutt" so to speak which is of course a term more often used for dogs ... and maybe a version of an American Shorthair ... I have a similar cat found outside (ferral) named Domino and he is the best ever now that he has settled down inside!
