i would probably modify it a bit. but december weddings can be so beautiful, with all of the rich colors like deep reds and maroons and greens; even though you had wanted pale colors. Maybe you can use lilac other cool hues to convey a winter wonderland feeling, but not in a cheesy way. Green and daisies scream spring, so that may seem odd in the middle of winter.

As a professional certified wedding planner, I suggest that whatever you have envisioned your day to be regardless of the season stick with your theme. A professional florist can still do your arrangements in silk that are less expensive than fresh and can be quite realistic in presentation. You cannot redo your day, you only have one shot to get it right. The ceremony needs to reflect what you have envisioned your special day to be. This type wedding is considered non-traditional; yet eccentric. Talk to a local florist and choose your colors and flower preference to create your arrangement. If you have pictures, give those to the florist to work with. I say this because I have had brides have winter wedding themes in the heart of the summer. But it is your day.
Best Wishes on your Most Memorable Day

while seasons often do effect theme choices - they don't have to. Yes, those color are more spring then winter, but it's your wedding:) By the way, who says you can't do a winter wedding theme with those colors? Just add some white snowflakes to the mix for a really unique daisy/snowflake theme!

It's your wedding, do what you want. Anyway, in December people will be so tired of seeing red, green, and dark clothes, they will probably enjoy a pastel color scheme. Check with the florist and see if daisies will be available. If not, they may be able to suggest another flower.
As warm as it's been across the country, why, a wedding with spring colors in December will fit right in!

No, you can have anything you want for your wedding. Keyword, "your". Just remember that certain flowers are in and out of season. Try to get a reception hall that can be transformed into a beautiful spring time garden paradise. If you need any help, contact me. I can try to find you some venues.

You sure don't. My husband and I got married on December 29th, and he pretty much demanded that every poinsetta be removed from sight (his family owned a plant nursery growing up--he has issues...). We had no red, green, white, or gold in sight. It's your wedding, and you're the one who will still be looking at the pictures in 10 years. I'm pretty sure your grandchildren won't look at your wedding photos and say, "Oh GRANDMA...a winter wedding with pastels? How COULD you?" Just a thought.

def. not. you can go to austraila or new zealand where it is warm in the winter. or just pretend it is spring and have an indoor wedding. you don't even have to have a theme.
