It's logically impossible to have a lack of belief... if you don't believe in God then by default you MUST BELIEVE the opposite...

Atheists BELIEVE that there is no God... there is no way around it... you can't hide behind the excuse that you don't believe anything because you do!!! Atheises have beliefs just like everyone else and just like everyone else they try to push those beliefs on everyone... just like the question that I linked to above.

Who says atheists don't believe in anything?

I believe in freedom, love, humanity, friendship, and that onions are repulsive, among other things.

Atheists don't believe in a god. They do not have to believe there is no god, they can indeed lack belief. Either stance would qualify as atheism.

And, until you get plugged into the matrix of someone else's mind, I suggest that you stick to deciding what YOU think of the existence of a god or gods, and not what others think about it. That would after all, be a textbook example of judgement.

That is the most circular logic I have seen in a while.

Do you believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster? So you believe in Zeus? That is just how I feel about your god. It is human imagination, a faerie tale, a fabrication, not true, ridiculous, absurd, wacky and plain stupid the same as all the other gods humans have thought up.

Do you still think I don't disbelieve it?

correct, people who believe in nothing are nihilists. Although there are two types of atheists, weak atheists and strong atheists. Weak atheists DOUBT the existence of god(s), and strong atheists do not believe in god(s). Weak atheists are obviously on a lot better ground theoretically. So your point that "if you don't believe in god then by default you must believe the opposite" is NOT correct.

Actually, there are two logically justifiable standpoints here: weak atheism and strong atheism. Weak atheism states, "I do not believe god/s exist." This is also called agnostic atheism. Strong atheism states, "I believe no god exists." These are significantly different.

It is completely possible to have a lack of belief.

NO you are all wrong, it doesn't take a belief to not believe in the flying spaghetti monster or pink unicorns, babies are atheist, animals are atheist, because they LACK a belief.

we don't KNOW that there is no god, we just don't belief in any god

but you should understand that not all people are perfect. the atheist on your link might not even know what athiesm is.

i apologize for being rude earlier because i didnt click the link.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

Do you believe there's a giant pink ostrich that speaks Polish in the room next to you?

See, that's how we feel about God.

Have you heard the term "skeptic"? There are those that only believe that for which evidence exists. Have you heard of the Apostle, Thomas? Your premise is rejected.

Nobody claims that atheists believe "nothing" that's logically impossible,

Atheists believe that there is no god. It's not that hard.
