Two months ago I told this guy to stop talking about getting together with me. Although we still talked about personal stuff, we stopped flirting. In the meantime I started wanting to see him again. He works with me but lives out of State.

Last week, during normal work conversation, he casually tells me he is going to be in my town next month on work travel. I just continued our conversation and didn't say anything about getting together. I didn't want to appear to be pursuing him.

This week I told him that I was travelling to work in his city. I asked him if he was going to be in town and he said yes, maybe I'll see you when you come.

By asking him if he is going to be in town, is it obvious that I meant that I want to see him when I am in town? Should I just assume that he isn't interested in seeing me?

Definately not. You are the one that requested for him not pursue a relationship with you. Now, I believe you need to give him a hint or else he may continue to respect your wishes. (I think he needs a sign from you before he will make another move towards anything other than friendship.) So... call him and tell him that you miss him and would like to have dinner with him to catch up! You don't have to be "forward". Just take the first step!!!

Of course that was obvious, but that is how you have to be, straight up. It makes no sense to beat around the bush, and no you shouldn't assume that he isn't interested in seeing you. He might be thrilled about it. You should have been more up-front with your question then you really would have known. Such as saying "I will be in your town (on such and such day) would you like to have (breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just go out.)

Surely you must know that men are not mind readers. We have to spell EVERYTHING out for them. You're gonna have to tell him out-right that you changed your mind and you think you'd like to begin to know him on a personal level. You know he already wanted to, so you won't get turned down. Just go for it.

In my opinion, you made it very clear. And just let it be now.
