Wash it well- by that I mean rinse it thoroughly inside and out with salt water... pat dry with paper towels--here's two recipes because I don't know what spices you have in your house.

1. easy- pat the skin dry and the inside-- rub a mix of salt, pepper and poultry seasoning all over the outer skin and pour inside- bake at 350 for about 45 minutes- use a meat thermometer to make sure- you don't want salmonella poisoning.

2. clean as above but stuff dill sticks inside the chicken and rub with salt, pepper and dill weed and seed with garlic all over-- add excess rub to inside of chicken- cook the same as above--

both are yummy and pretty quick-- if you have a roasting pan, use it it will flavorize the meat better- take the top off for the last 15 minutes to brown the skin

Happy chicken eating............

Quick, Easy -N- Fast Sautéed Chicken with Lemon Garlic Sauce

1 T. olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
2 chicken breast halves
salt, pepper
1/2 C. chicken broth
1/2 C. pitted kalamata or other intensely flavored olives
1 T. lemon juice
1 C. cooked rice, optional

Heat oil in medium skillet. Add garlic and saute over medium heat 1 minute. Add chicken, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste, and brown 5 minutes per side.

Remove chicken. Pour in broth and scrape up any browned bits. Return chicken to skillet along with olives. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Remove chicken and keep warm. Add lemon juice and cook down liquids by a third. Return chicken to pan to heat through.

If it's a whole chicken, go ahead and heat up your oven to whatever the temperature should be according to the label. Then use some string to tie his little leggies together after you place it in a big roasting pan. Make sure the wings are tucked under the bird so they don't burn. Brush it with oil and then season with salt and pepper and follow the cooking directions on the label.

Good luck! Feel better soon!

rub some salt and pepper on the outside and sprinkle some on the inside (remove the gizzards and stuff from the inside first). place in a shallow baking pan and put into a preheated 350 degree oven for about an hour and 15 minutes. I hope what you have is a whole chicken, cause thats what these instructions are for. Bon Appetite

season it with barbeque spices, a little extra curry and cut it in four pieces.
If in a hurry, fry it in your pan with a few spoons of oil or preferable use margarine that is made for frying, until crisp and leave it to simmer for about 16 minutes under a lid. Check it by cutting in to the bone to see that its not blood-red. and enjoy it. with bread or potatosalad.
If you have a few more minutes to spare use your oven for a better result and the posibilty to make some ekstra sauce or salad to go by.
whole chicken 45 min. at 170 celcius. half chicken 10 minutes less. (thyme paprica powder and sage is also nice chicken spices)

Here's a quick option and real easy....

Sesame oil / soy sauce
Seasoned Salt
Ground Black pepper
Sliced Onions
Chopped / Sliced Peppers
And of course your raw chicken

Cover chicken with all of the above finely...veggies should sit at bottom of pan...

Preheat oven to 375, roast for 40-45 mins and it should come out nice and roasted....

If it's boneless, skinless breasts, and you like hot sauce, cut it up into strips, heat the pan, add some oil/butter and pour on the hot sauce! It cooks quick and tastes great!
Also, try this recipe sometime:
Makes 2 pizzas
Boil 3 boneless, skinless breasts until done.
Tear into bite size pieces and pour buffalo wing sauce over meat. Mix well.
Pour Blue Cheese dressing over 2 pizza crusts that you buy in the refrigarator section.
Put chicken over dressing and mozzerella cheese over chicken.
Bake according to crust directions.
Soooo yummmy!!! (I don't even like blue cheese dressing, but this is awesome!)

I prefer boneless chicken breasts, if yours is boneless: First season with garlic powder, onion powder, season salt, oregeno and pepper. (or whatever seasoning you prefer) Spray frying pan with cooking spray (if you have none use butter or margirine) Cook over med low heat covered for about ten minutes per side. Be sure there is no pink befor eating. If it is not boneless and you want to make it easy go buy shake and bake and follow directions for cooking in oven.

You can brown the chicken, put it in a dutch oven, pour some canned peaches over it, put a lid on it and put it in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees.

There are several ways to cook a chicken~~I like to boil chicken -- using breasts (rinse chicken while rubbing off handled germs before placing in large round pot) or a whole chicken and water (enough to cover the chicken)- add more water as liquid is absorbed~~But not too much~and be careful not to pour water directly ontop of it while cooking~about a medium flame~~keep an eye on.
~~add bouillion cubes(about 2) and celery (wash celery first) chopped up in large pieces, I like to boil; it with these ingredients(salt & pepper, of course) for about 45 minutes. Adding carrots, onions, and pkg of noodles can liven this up~read the directions on the pkg for the pasta~~ like egg nooles~ careful not to over cook ~~cooking time is short. (carrots and onions are added in the beginning)
smells delicious!
~I like to make sure it is cooked well inside
~ This method is for a whole chicken or a few large pieces.~~
~ You can also cover chicken breasts with aluminum foil and put in oven safe baking pan; generously add margarine or butter, then salt & pepper and large pieces of chopped celery : lay the chicken with these ingredients on a bed of white rice and pour one can of condensed cream of mushroom soup on top of the chicken, then bake for about 45 minutes, put in oven on 425 degrees for 45 minutes.
tastes wonderful.
