Depending upon who you ask. For me, everything under the sun is spirituality at work, forming and framing mankinds spirituality, how they believe, what happens to them how they react to situations and how that has changed or helped or hurt their lives. Everyone is a walking spiritual formation, though 90 percent of them don't realize it, or care those who do meaning those who tap into sprituality see things differently. However do not believe every spirit, for there are seducing spirits to lead men astray. There is only one foundation in True Spirituality His name is Jesus Christ for in this area He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Only through Him will find that "spirituality" that grants eternal life for it is found in no other but Christ and Christ alone.

Spirituality is not connected with religion, nor is it concerned with the dogma of a one god doctrine.
Look around the three main religions and you will be hard pressed to find any form of Spirituality, for spirituality goes hand in hand with free thought and insight, into the mysteries of life and existence.
Spirituality is the grow of a persons humanity, so could be linked more with the values of humanitarianism and not anyway connected with authoritarian religions.
Jesus, Buddha, and many Hindu Gurus were teachers helping their students see through the blinds of ignorance by the way of forming their own insight.
This was achieved by the practise of meditation which Jesus utilised while in the desert, although sadly this practise has been replaced by dogma in Christianity.
What is misleading is that many religions were first built upon a spiritual essence, only to be corrupted by the words of power hungry men.
Just reading up on Existentialism will reveal the complex nature of spirituality.
Even an athesist can be a spiritual person, if they govern themselves by kindness, logic, and knowledge.
Spirituality does not come in one colour but is like a rainbow with many different colours.
Any man woman or child can have a spiritual essense residing within themselves; the bus driver, the nurse, the labourer, the soldier etc can all be spiritual yet secular.
In such cases spirituality is conveyed via poetry, art or acts of charity and acts of compassion for another human being.
Lastly true spirituality does not depend on fear but hope and love, it is the path towards the enlightened development of an individuals human nature.

What a great question!...it's not a religion or faith. I think it's when we suddenly have a revelation of who we really are and why were here. It's when we get free of all religious rubbish we've been taught, and see who God really is and has really created us to be. Religion keeps us bound up, that's one meaning of the the word..(religion) when God sets us free from all the things we think are spirituality, that's when a spiritual awakening happens. I feel it's something you have to experience before you can know....i hope this has made sense to you...what do you think it is?

I think a modern view of spirituality might be expressed as. " That inner conviction, not necessarily based on any particular faith or creed, that there is more to human life and the universe than can be expressed by science." You might also call it "That searching for meaning and purpose in life that includes all aspects of belief"

It is stimulus through a non physical force. Joy, or suffering, that one feels through any number of sources that do not have physical dimensions. Religion seems to be the most obvious choice for most people.

Spirituality is our relationship with the spirit world, or God.
Religion on the other hand is often little more than a lie about God.

I consider it a sixth sense. People who dont have it are clueless. It's like trying to describe the color "Blue" to a blind man.
But those of us that do have Spirituality see God everywhere and have a close relationship with him.

An on line dictionary gives these definitions: "devotion to metaphysical matters..." [ideas without substantial proof of existence,] "...as opposed to worldly things," [actual beings and objects and ideas manifested in fact.] Another is: "Activities which renew, lift up, comfort, heal and inspire both ourselves and those with whom we interact," [white lies, chants and prayers, rituals and other goodie-two-shoes BS for those who like to think of themselves as being a goodie-two-shoes or as being an especially unique individual in any sort of an oddly appearing or bizarre way.]"
I also define spirituality further by adding: A real waste of ones time that relies purely on imagination and a seething, non-rationalized emotion. (i.e., purely wistful and fanciful nonsense.)
