would i get paid if i advertised for google or somthing on my myspace page?

Be careful Myspace has sstrict policies against commercial use of their pages that you have to follow of they will ban and/or block you.
There are a few ways to advertise online that cost you such as PPC and banner ads.
There are also free ways to advertise your business online that you may or may not know about.

I think so but you will need to find out the specifics from the actual company you will be advertising for. Some companies have banners you can use to promote them.

I think that is a wonderful use of My Space space. Because some of the spaces I've seen are a waste of space. It would be refreshing to see someone use it as a business tool instead of a way to spend time.
