We are filing jointly but we are in the middle of a divorce. I am getting the refund direct deposited in my account. How much do i have to give her, if anything? i mean, there is no agreement saying how much i have to give her. She wants 1200 but I think 800 is more appropriate considerng she doesnt work.. Ok, on a bigger note, she has constantly harrassed me at work and i am in the military so that always gets me in trouble. She has made no attempt to better herself by getting a job and she hasnt had one in over 3 years, all she has done is live off of me. She thinks the world owes her. I am already giving her 900/month until the d is final. and trust me, it aint easy. she lives in a 3 floor townhome and can barely make the rent, she gets high all day and i know this cuz her sister who lves with her tell me so, plus her b/f's are borderline psycho. i live in the barracks on ramen soup. tell me whats fair about all of that?

We also have one kid whom she refuses to put into daycare and work instead. he is over 2 now and needs to be around other kids, not just her all day.

What I would do is give her nothing. You guys don't have any kids together, she doesn't work and you are already giving her money every month. She doesn't have a leg to stand on !!! I would though, put a restraining order on her so that you don't get in trouble at work. That way she won't be able to harass you. Make sure she doesn't have any access to your bank accounts or is able to figure out your pass words. I am sure you can do better. Good Luck

that's my first year filing an injured significant different form as well, so i'm in choose of solutions too. Ha ha. nicely, I e-filed my taxes alongside with the injured significant different form on January 18, 2011. The go back became prevalent through the irs on January 19, 2011. so a procedures I actually have not received something. So i wanting to call the irs at present March 17, 2011. The representative advised me that a verify should be mailed on Friday March 25, 2011. The rep also advised me that i'd be getting the full refund, so not something became taken out. previously after I referred to as the irs, i became advised to attend 11 - 14 weeks, to manage to manage to ultimately hear someone supply me a standing on my refund became large. So basically try calling the irs, because that's been a short at the same time as now. you're in a position to get a rep who provides you with some information. extra information: I efiled both mutually.

What you give her, if any, is between the two of you.

This year, you can split the refund between multiple accounts for direct deposit, so if you are going to give her anything, you could have whatever she gets deposited directly to her account.

take the tax refund and run and get a lawyer that can get everything in writing she is on the way of getting evicted and you need joint custody of your child if she put on the streets or jail. don't think about it do it before its to late

Legally" I think she is entitled to half...could just put it in your account and then when the divorce goes through and property/money is divided up..it could be settled then through your lawyer.....but keep records .....
