The absolute cheapest is to win a freeroll, then go on the hottest streak of your life. They have WSOP freerolls at bugsyclub and pokerpages. However be warned: Because this is a freeroll, you will have to win several tournaments just to get to a tournament which will ultimately be for a single seat in the WSOP. IMHO, if you are unsure of how to acquire a bankroll worthy of entering this tournament, your best move would be to stay away, because here's what's the cheapest (and most likely) ways of getting a bargain seat in the WSOP are.

If you have some formidable poker skills, then perhaps what is best for you is to enter some low buy in tournaments. Often you can enter for as little as $200, and even if you don't win the seat, you can still make the money and get a return on investment. Most likely you will have to play several tournys to get the seat, but if you're playing well, you could end up getting the seat, PLUS make some money winning cash in the tournys where you did not get 1st place. Technically I guess this would cost less than free, however the free has 0 risk so that entry is infinite + EV.

Finally, how many gain their entry for a bargain is through 10 person live sattelites. As you know the WSOP is not one event anymore, but a long drawn out program with several tournaments in all kinds of poker. Once you arrive in Vegas you can pay $1,000 to enter a single table 10 person tournament, winner takes all. Sometimes what you actually win is a voucher which can be redeemed for a seat in the tournament rather than $10,000 cash. Be sure you know what 1st prize is.

I wish you the best of luck, whatever road you may take.

You should try some smaller events first before you step up to such a big buy-in. You are asking for the cheapest way to buy-in, and i would say try some super satellites, they will cost you anywhere depending on the site from 50 bucks all the way up to 200-300 hundred dollars. The more money you put up in a satellite the smaller amount of people you have to get through. a 40 dollar super satellite may have 1000-1500 people in it, while a satellite that cost 300 hundred dollars may only have 200-300 people to beat. Try some circuit events first, they have buy-ins for 200-300 bucks and have first place pay-outs for 30-40k dollars. good luck

The cheapest way to do that is to play some "sattellites", you can find at different buy-in, even freerolls.

Take care
