When people ask questions about general health or diet, I answer them with my opinion (which is the knowledge I have gathered on the natural health field over the years). I get so many "thumbs down" when I suggest things like eating lots of fruits and vegetables, ommiting sugar from a babies diet, or simply using yoga and meditation to assist with depression or anxiety. Why all the haters? Can anyone explain this to me?

Actually Johnny P, I'm not a democrat. I'm Adrienne. But thanks for the judgement...this is exactly what I'm talking about!

It's not that they hate healthy. They hate change. With change comes work so they choose to keep with the norm, much easier, less complicated.

The real question should be...why do you care?
You claim to be in the natural health field, and by viewing your statement of suggestion for diet and exercise, I can assume you are cause you are correct. Therefore, knowing the TRUTH should be all that matters.
You know the info you provide is accurate. There will be many people who do not care for the truth because many of them want to read or hear about that simple pill to resolve all their problems. The sad part is, you and I both know it doesn't exist. These people, hopefully will discover this on their own, one day when they decide to get off their lazy butts and do some research, or when they discover the hard way through experience. The bottom line is simple, people hate out of ignorance and because it's easier than learning the truth. I suggest you not worry about it. In time, many of them will realize the truth. Others will die guessing. It's a part of life.

Because Americans as a whole are lazy and don't like being told they are in bad health because of what they shove in thier faces. Then wonder why later in life that they have heart problems and other health issues. I watched two of my grand parents and my mother die from being fat or a diet high in fats. Yeah, i'm skinny, but I work at it and I'm proud to say I do. You just keep on! Feel free to pass any advice to me if you get bored. I'm going to be 36, and I kinda wanna be here a while!

good question. it does confuse me as well. perhaps part of it has to do with "oh, i've heard this too many times," or "that's so cliche" or maybe they're looking for interesting, funny, and unique answers. or maybe some people just don't care. sighful.

probably because most people rather eat donuts, cheese, chocolate all the bad things are easier to eat fruit and veges have to be washed first and I think it's too time consuming for people and the sweet stuff tastes better to them.

because they're all fat and too lazy to do anything about it. If you suggest doing something that takes effort then they feel like you're calling them lazy. People will say anything to excuse doing absolutely nothing, but they will complain about every little pain they have.
