I am interested in purchasing a treadmill...?

Any suggestion on top brands or what to look for in features...my friend once bought one and it was a complete piece of crap...i want mine to be functional and modern but also affordable (around $500).

Look in the most recent issue of Consumer Reports. If you don't subscribe to it, your local library probably does. It is a very helpful report. Good Luck!
