Two months ago I told this guy to stop talking about getting together with me, but in the meantime I started wanting to see him again. He works with me but lives out of State.

Recently I told him that I was travelling to work in his city. I asked him if he was going to be in town and he said yes, maybe I'll see you when you come.

Now that I've told him I am coming and asked if he'd be in town, should I leave it to him to initiate getting together?

The message from him is this: "Don't hold your breath until I call." If you WANT to see him, you'll probably have to make the arrangements. MY question for you is with such underwhelming enthusiasm from him, why would you bother?

It depends on how you feel about him. If you truly want to give it a chance, then by all means initiate if he doesn't! On the other hand, don't come on too strong or desperate. He could have found someone else, but you will never know if you two don't talk. I would give him a little time to respond, which makes you appear more casual, and then if he doesn't respond, again, casually ask. If he gives you the same answer, or something similar, he probably isn't interested. Good luck, and remember you only live once!

It really just depends on how bad you wanna see him. I mean you told him firsthand to back off, so why would he go out his way to see you!
