Labs are one of the most lovable breeds. They are loyal, adorable, and yet have a goofy side to them. We had a beautiful yellow Lab named Nike for 13 1/2 wonderful years. We got her about six months after having to put down our black Lab Rex (adopted when he was older). She was the only puppy in her litter since her mother was getting on in years and it was her last litter. Nike loved to walk with me, swim in the lake, go camping, play frisbee. There are so many stories to tell of her. My sister-in-law has a yellow Lab named Murphy who although getting on in years is still quite active and loves his walks. There are many stories in the family about him too. I have never known a Lab--yellow, black, or brown--that wasn't a great pal!

Of course! I have one - he's an English lab actually...I think they're even cuter than field labs.
They're adorable, affectionate, strong, smart, friendly and gentle

Yes - they're simply adorable as puppies, and they're just wonderful dogs. My ex-girlfriend's son used to have one with an ex-girlfriend of his, so for awhile, I was "Grampy" to "Jake." Jake was such a cool dog - she (my ex) and I got to dogsit him a lot since her son played softball so much while being on the outs with his ex-g/f. The son's ex moved back East to be closer to family, so I haven't seen Jake since (except for a photo or two).

I still miss my buddy. :~ (

They're good dogs when trained, and incredible looking when they're in shape. I've seen too many fat ones, though :(
