I am sorry for your loss, however, he's pass on, and currently had no material need for it. And apparently you have no emotional attatchment to the item. I see nothing wrong with it. As long as his memory and the time he was blessed with is still in your heart and you love him unconditionally still, his material possessions have no meaning if they mean little to you. Does it make it wrong for the family to get rid of a deceased family member's items because the memory is painful? No. If you choose to make a profit, then so be it. Relax. Your son will not hate you for a material item. If this is the case, the love was not with you, the parent. But with the animal itself. Is that true. Probably not. I hope the afterlife occupants aren't that petty.

It was your personal decision to do it, and you did... There's nothing you can do about it now. Just keep some of his other possessions. You CAN'T keep every last thing. Do what you feel is right. I am sorry about your son =(

That was your call & no one knows if that was a mistake except you. But if you want it back ask the buyer. Only a cold hearted person wouldn't return it
