unless he has 4 legs, a tail and barks you are soooooooooooooo in the wrong section unless, of course he sleeps 'round like a dog, but that is doing a disservice to the k-9 community.
You could try rubbing or scratching his belly, all dogs love getting their bellies rubbed or scratched, if he likes it he'll wag his tail, if he really likes it he'll wag his tail hard enough to make it thump against something.

Is he a dog? If so, just give him lots of treats and love and exercise and let him sleep with you and ride in your car. Give him lots of kisses. If he is a human, you are on your own.

You think HE doesn't like YOU, and you put him in the "DOGS" section? Sounds to me like you don't like HIM!
Of course, if he really is a dog (lab, setter, etc) try giving him dog treats. That'll win most dogs over posthaste. If he's not your own dog, be sure to ask his owner first before giving him anything.
