How much antifreeze does it take to hurt a dog, My car is having problems and some leaked out and i am worried she drank some of it, its mixed with water though.
she was just acting weird shaking and panting at the same time, and I didnt know why , but she seems fine now, it was just for a 10 minute time frame she acted that way.

OMG!!!! When did this happen? Was it just now? Take her to your local animal emergency hospital IMMEDIATELY!!!! Antifreeze shuts down the liver and kidneys!
Antifreeze poisoning occurs in two stages: In the first stage, the ethylene glycol in the antifreeze causes a drunken appearance in the animal within about 30 minutes which may continue for several hours. After passing through stage 1, the animal appears to recover. Stage 2 begins when the dog's liver begins metabolizing the ethylene glycol, changing it into more toxic substances. Within 12 to 36 hours of ingestion, these metabolites have reached such a level that the dog's kidneys stop functioning, and the animal slips into a coma.

It is my understanding that it only takes a very small amount of antifreeze to kill a dog. If she acts funny better take her to the vet.

It is pretty toxic and sweet so most animals like to drink it. If you suspect that she drank some, it is probably a good idea to go to the hospital and get them to induce vomiting, although if she had toxic side effects you probably would have seen that by now (shaking, cold sweat, weak, unable to walk, etc).

It only takes a very very small amount. I think I would take her to the vet to be checked right away. It can kill them real fast. If she has and you get her to the vet on time, they can probably save her.

dont let her drink any of it. It can really mess their nervous system up if it doesn't kill them. but animals like the taste of it because it is sweet tasting.
