Yes it is. You simply fold the back of it down then flip the whole thing forward and slide it to one side a little bit and it will lift out.

It should be, mine's a 2000. There should be a latch on the left hand side behind the back seat, lift it. The seat will tumble forward. Then at the points where the seat sits on, on both sides the should be a pin. The the pins and take the seat out. I have my spare tire in the back because it doesn't fit on the back carrier anymore.

Sure is, fold the back seat down then get in the rear and push left, then right to get it out of the sockets. Lifts right out...
My back seat has been hanging in the garage since I purchased my TJ Sport in July of 2000. If you will never have passengers in the back, you will probably want to take the rear seat belts out as well, as they flop around and make a lot of noise when the top is off.

Absolutely. There are mounting brackets in the tub, one by each wheelwell, with holes in them, and the back seat itself has posts on it that fit into the brackets. They originally come with cotter pins as well, to keep the posts from sliding out of the brackets, but those are generally lost in short order...

YES.........but you have to be careful when you bend the bracket to get the seat to cam out....and save the plastic race the seat post has that is inserted into the bracket on the fender side... I have this Jeep and am sure of what info I am giving to you ...

YES IT IS I HAVE HAD 3 WRANGLERS AND ALL THE BACK SEATS COME OUT.FLIP THE SEAT FORWARD PULL THE PIN SLIDE TO THE LEFT IT SHOULD POP RIGHT OUT.
