tell your family his good qualities.. invite him over and let your parents know you're doing so, so they can be prepared to see him again.
plan something out, like dinner, or a game. where you can all sit together and talk and have your family get to know him.
parents can be very skeptical when it comes to their kids dating, they want to be sure that their kid is with a person who will be good to them, and not try anything funny. so if your family sees this guy more often, they can learn to trust him, and see that he is a good guy, and that he would treat you right. good luck.. ohh and about your sister.. sisters ALWAYS think their siblings friends/boyfriends are annoying. dont worry too much about that :)

All sisters think that there sisters boyfriends or for that matter any friends are annoying! And maybe once your parents can sit down and talk to him they will see him differently! And no one says he has to be a "boyfriend" right away just go out on a date or two, like a movie or a pizza and see how things go- then you can decide if he is worth the trouble of bringing him home so everyone in the family can get to know him! Good Luck!

If you really like him then go out with him. It's not your families choice it's yours and they'll have to accept that. Don't rush it. Ask him if he's ready to go on a date with you now and if he say he is then go out and if he says he needs more time then give it to him. Rushing it will only destroy it and you don't want that. Just be calm and when the time is right you will know it.

I would let him know that you are interested in taking it to the next level. Your sister will get over it. Your parents are what you need to worry about. Give them more time around him, they need to get to know him before they can make a judgement.

Sorry I've lost the will to live trying to read this question otherwise I would have answered it properly and been more civil.
Hope you sort it out anyway - whatever IT might be.

I think you should ask him out and see what happens........... parents rarely like your partners anyway and they will learn to accept him.
