17 Grams To Tablespoons

It depends on what you're measuring. Grams is a measure of weight, whereas tablespoons is a measure of volume. So 17 grams of water would be different from 17 grams of salt.

You need to find out the weight per cubic centimeter of the substance you are weighing and then convert cubic centimeters to tablespoons. You can do the conversion here:

http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/volume

Scroll down almost to the bottom to find the cooking measures.

If you post what you are trying to measure, I can look for a site with information about what it weighs and do the conversion for you.

Update: I see someone else posted an excellent site for you while I was typing my reply. If that doesn't work, I'll try to help further.

Tablespoons of what? Water? Flour? Sand? Lead? Air?

A tablespoon is not a measure of mass, it is a measure of Volume.

One tablespoon is equal to roughly 15 Cubic centimeters.
