I have Windows 2000 installed on my desktop and had to reinstall the OS after it was damaged. I was trying to reinstall the OS completely, but the first OS was obviously repaired and the attempted reinstall was installed independent of the first. I want to remove the second and free up some HD space.

If you have created a dual boot system, then you can look into boot.ini
start > run
type msconfig
press ok
click on boot.ini tab
Look the boot sequence and the place of the windows folder.
If you can identify the extra windows folder that you do not want, you should be able to delete the windows folder from the hard disk(anyway windows will not allow you to delete the windows that you are runnning)
