What is the word for word translation of this?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/kthx/loveiswithoutreason.gif

Just want to know if it makes sense or not because it's supposed to say "Love is without reason" but when I translated Love is without reason it is way different, and when I asked someone they said that's not EXACTLY what it says but had a hard time figuring out the English word. Please help! Thanks.

The first two characters read "ai qing" and translates to "love."

The third character reads "wu" and means "without."

The fourth character reads "li" and means "reason" or "logic."

And the last character reads "zhi" and means "intelligence."

The reason why your own translation isn't quite the same is because Chinese and English are very different; for example, using the Chinese version of "is" is optional and was omitted in this sentence.

^~^, i understood what you said..
Sometimes, the translator would shows you the wrong meaning of the sentence. Because the sentence had the different meanings, and the translator just used what it had to translate. So, it won't changes the best meaning for you. what it means, it's you better translate the sentence by one word to one word ..
is that make sense? I hope that will helps you.. ^~^

once you try for a one be conscious change then you truthfully're barking up the incorrect tree. How do you clarify the understanding between 2 companions who're so strong mutually they could complete one yet another's sentences. Tacit understanding is real isn't it? Like doubles in a ping pong journey or a volleyball crew. In my usa they say the crew clicks or it would not ... ????? is a remark that a crew does not have that understanding.

I think it's close enough. You can't translate chinese to english or vice versa word for word.
